wouldn't that that be hot if you didn't have to click on page numbers every 5 posts? why not?

because large threads would take a long ass time to load on slower computers...It probably also puts more stress on the servers (though this might be very minute) And probably makes it harder to index/allocate posts...

Mine is on every 20.  Why not just set yours higher.

I've got mine set to 50, I don't believe it is particularly laborious to click on a page number every 2 minutes or so.
