The guide is only that, a guide, it is not meant as a rule.
You can give and take rep as you please.

HOWEVER!
Try and keep the swearing down in the comments as you never know how old the person is you are repping.

Lets say I have 50 points and I choose to give positive rep to someone. Do they get the 50 points and mine returns to 0 again? Or does it always stay at 50?

I find it ironic that they are called "Rep Points" and yet I find no point in them at all.

Well I guess I shouldn't say no point, but no functionality is I guess what I'm looking for.

Still, I'm not paying money to use this website and thus I bow before the decision maker's will.
