I have this problem too, and never have uppercase extensions.

just make a photobucket account, upload your photos, then copy the img code, and paste it into your description.

I already do that.  It just annoys me when I know there's a problem.

Until someone who knows what they are doing experiences it, I have no way of knowing what is wrong.

Is there anything that be done about this, I still can't upload pics and the [img] code seems to be off when I post photobucket links.

I fail at uploading from my computer and directly uploading from photobucket.

From the error message it seems to be something to do with the writing of a temp file.

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

I think it is something to do with your guys systems.
Firewalls or something.

Make sure it fits the size requirements, no spaces, no caps, no extra punctuation or any odd symbols. Some of that can be used, but just in case.

I don't care so much about the uploading attachments to bikeguide issue, although I am sure it is not a firewall issue with my system as it has worked intermittently (with no changes on my end).

What I would like to understand is why in the posting rules on my threads it says :

-------
vB code is On
Smilies are On

Are you trying to upload from photobucket?
I am not sure exactly whatyou are trying to explain.

And I looked at your permissions, and your usergroup permissions, you are authorized for the img tag, and clearly it works for you. I have no idea why it says you cannot use it.

I was having trouble with photos too.  It was only when trying to attach files.

I guess photo bucket or flickr is the answer.
