Do not paint me as the model citizen sticking up for IP rights.
Honestly, I really do not care if you do this stuff as long as it is not on BG. I am not an advocate for the industry. Far from it, greedy pricks if you ask me (fuck em'). The recording and movie industries need a massive change anyhow. If it means the death of them, so be it. They deserve it for what they are doing. They are like a deer in the headlights, they see the car coming, and know they will die, but they just stand there instead of doing something constructive, like moving. In any industry suing your customers is a desperate last act.
The problem is that discussing this stuff violates the terms of service for BG's host, same most most others, some sites are just more lax. Not to mention it could be used to nail your ass to the wall.
For the record, I think I have bought one new RIAA endorsed cd since the Metallica/Napster lawsuit (which by the way, Metallica got where they are by people trading and loaning their tapes, hypocritical assholes).
Not saying I have not bought any (a few), just none from groups or labels who are a part of that racketeering organization.
