On another board I use it gives you a warning if someone else posts a reply to the tread your replying too between the time you start replying and actually press the button post. Its quite a good idea, might be worth looking into?

Stops instances like this happening.

doesn't seem like too big of a deal, just don't take forever to post

http://www.ukmb.net for one example.

And if your posting a decent, well thought out reply, with links, specific info etc it can take a while.

And sometimes you open, then they post seconds after, so your browser doesnt refresh in time, would just improve things a bit.
