people accusing sheep of moderating too strictly suprises me-ive never felt in any cases that bikeguide is overmoderated at all. maybe its just because i dont make stupid pointless threads which get deleted, im not sure....

i know that i like reading and posting on here because the general high quality of conversation and debate, and because the common sense and thought demonstrated here tends to be far beyond that of most other bmx forums ive seen.  the large userbase also ensures that there is always fresh material online as well. as i see it, bikeguide is doing well and the mods are doing a good enough job to keep idiocy to a minimum

i think the no free email addresses for sign up deters most of the potential idiots and joke posters anyway as they cant be arsed, so there is no real need to close membership

I'm not going anywhere. I don't come here much, but one day I'll get shoulder surgery and be back as much as I surf silverfishlongboarding now.

Hmm, I wonder how much lighter bikes are since I paid attention to BMX. Are we down to 20lbs and 24spoke wheels yet?

A few have been trying to do 24, but yes, a few have broken 20 pounds.

Patriot, without stepping on any toes, what exactly is a terrorist? The war on terrorism is quite similar to the war on drugs, in that the enemy...doesn't really exist? I mean really, I have more faith in humanity than I do the US government (who have an awful track record, conspiracies aside.) And I guess my point is, who the fuck commits such hanus acts on the sole merit of "striking fear into hearts?" Afaic, in the capitalist world, perhaps the human is tainted by the bottom line...but a taste for cultivating fear? No. I cant say for sure "who" did what, but if you draw all of your information from one source (or other sources that are still being fed by that one source) then you are not evaluating the situation properly. /sidetrack

I agree, I love this site.

I went to 'the come up' for a day and that place is a joke.
Here I can actually learn about new stuff and get help if I need it.
I'm glad this site hasn't turned into a "1st!!!", "N/H" , "1234" forum.

This website is great for what it is.
