I agree. This new spot got blown up within days, its actually at a busy intersection and visible from the road; however we have permission from the land owner which makes up for it. Its really motivating having 10+ people digging at a time, we actually have people fighting over shovels at times because there are more diggers than shovels.
you live in england. so? youve got some of the best trails in existance in your country. multiple ones at that.come live in the desert. where it rains less that 2 inches a year. the soil is sand with very few areas of clay. we have no creeks or ponds to bucket water out of to even maintain things once built.you wanna know how long our trail season lasts? the week after it rains. thats pretty much it. unless youre lucky enough to find a spot to dig at where you can find some sort of water access which damn near never happen around these parts.sorry to blow up on you. but your post calling someone out for being lazy/moaning about not having trails. not everyone has it as lucky as you do. id kill to live in england and have the trails you can ride whenever you want.
Digging by yourself is boring.
Hey also check this stuff out!! Look at the bermy thing into the bridge!!arrrgh wtf the pictures don't work... try going here to see them - worth it!http://crankfaster.blogspot.com/2010/01/shhh-its-secret-shits-secret.html
It is. But it's not an acceptable excuse. The good times far outweigh the boredom.
looks so fun. the digging them around the drain semms like a good idea.
I'd have to ride alone as well though, since none of my mates are into bikes. Home-made trails don't seem that much fun by yourself.
