Anyone here have any tips on how to fix a snapped front sight? ( rifle is a Mossberg 342ka)
I found a parts list here : http://www.box54.com/ex342ka.jpg
the sight is number S138 but living in France, getting a replacement would be a bitch (if the spare still exists, it's an old gun).

The S&W 442 is the only option for a concealed revolver.

I've thought about that too, but it appears chunkier than the 442. I need a 2nd carry gun that needs to be as small as possible, and I'd prefer a revolver since I already carry a semi. S&W is coming out with a half polymer .38 that is supposed to be really small/light.

The only reason I mentioned the Lcp is because of it's size and weight, it would be perfect.

So, as far as .22 ammo goes, whats there to look for and know about?

I have several different kinds, some Sub Sonic, Hollows, and straight up 'regular' (I guess).

For handgun action, what would you guys recommend in terms of brand and quality?

Also, i'm thinking of getting a new rifle. A part of me just wants to get a decent .22 long rifle for the price, cost of shooting, and all the accessories available. Then again, I kind of want to get something more powerful like a 3030...

Lets bring this thread back from pg3.

Its a shame we can't have a legit knife thread on here. This is the new official unofficial Gun/Knife thread...? Sounds good.

Going with this theme...

My trusty swiss locking blade army knife, which I've managed to not lose for 6 years. And a wee handmade job my mum got me.

Some fairly showy design, wasn't a fan at first but it is functional. One handed opening made easy.

And my Fallkniven F1. This things solid. Blade is only an inch longer than the swiss army knife but twice as thick. Good while working in the woods, ideal for everything involving being away from people.
So bottoms up and cheers alike to the memory of this wreck.

For .22LR bulk packs, Federal is by far the best and Remington is the worst.

Walmart here has 550 Round Federal packs for $17.99 which is very decent for the times.

Get a Ruger 10/22, you can customize them however you want, with numerous stock options and sizes/lengths/colors/barrels it is very fun.

Do you want a flat shooting target higher powered rifle, or a big knockdown power high powered rifle?

Another vote for a Ruger 10/22

I love mine! So much fun, tons of options, tons of companies making awesome upgrades, cheap to shoot... check out rimfirecentral.com and look around in their 10/22 section.
