I guess we gotta have some sort of compromise for out lesser gun freedoms, AR's for you guys are way cheaper and easier to acquire, I paid 1700 for a stag that's only worth maybe 8 or 900 down there and the only place I can bring it is the range otherwise has to be locked up.

Norinco still imports guns to Canada.  We don't import any "assault" weapons.

Also something about importing SVT40s after the war there were tons in Canada but now they cannot fit under our 922r regulations, but Mosins and the like can because they are bolt and not Semi auto.

A bunch of bullshit either way

Don't see a whole lot of mosins up here any more but sks's are everywhere and dirt cheap, cz 858's are pretty cheap and every shop has lots in stock, norinco is hit and miss though their AR is cheap and shitty but some of the other stuff is alright.

Pricey! I bought mine for 300 bucks, only problem up here is that 7.62x54 is hard to come by but 7.62x39 is everywhere can buy Czech and Chinese steel core by the crate for dirt cheap.

So as some may know picked up my first gun now I need some ammo..in bulk..damn $6.57 for five slugs is not something I can be doing when I dont have a job... Anyone used the Federal Hydra-Shok slugs? Looking at picking up a case...I think I need slugs due to rules at the range aswell. I mean buck shot might be ok..

I pick up 25rnd boxes of birdshot for $5 on sale for messing around, but $5-7 for a box of 5 slugs is pretty normal. Just don't run a ton of slugs for fun.

their not bad, most ranges wont allow buck or birdshot because of the spread to other lanes/targets, but cases of birdshot are cheap as dirt so are clays and hand launchers pick some up and head out to the woods.

Yep thats the deal with the range here...the problem is I am in Hawaii right now so there is not much space to be shooting... There is also only one public range here (outdoor range) and clays are only open on the weekend when everyone and there mom is out shooting. I plan to mostly go on week days because there were only like 5 people there the other day I went so I bet I could have gotten away with bird or buck. One of the range officals said some people shoot bird shot into the back drop/hill but meh..I will be pick some bird up though chances are. What has the smallest spread pattern? Or are they all the same? See I can pick up 250rds on the hydra-shok for $175 with free shipping. But I can pick up 175 rds of 00 buck for $110 with free shipping. Another problem with the weekday is that the closest target frame is 50yds away!
