alright bikeguiders, i have yet another question.
i know a few pages back I was asking about a 12 gauge purchase that i was considering making. however a buddy of mine was talking to me and now i'm leaning toward a semi .22.
basically i'm not sure which gun would make the most sense. i have a blast shooting my pistol when i get a chance, but i can't decide which of these would be a good purchase for myself.
i don't shoot clays a whole lot, and as of this point in my life i don't hunt anything.
i would like to mess around shooting squirrels and rabbits around my house, maybe a bit of target shooting if i had the .22.
plus shooting the .22 would be much cheaper than buying shells but for some reason i keep trying to tell myself that a 12 gauge would make some sort of sense, but i think a .22 would be more fun. (an less expensive of a purchase, not including a larger mag / scope i would probably pick up) i have been looking at ruger 10/22's as thats what my buddy had suggested i look at.
also- i have coyotes around my house as well. a small round like a .22 won't kill a coyote, correct? and how much bigger might i need to go?
edit: and on the bigger rifle size... how much more expensive would that size rifle be to purchase compared to a .22, and how much more would ammunition be? or a good guess?)
thanks
