Probably not. To put rails on, people take the front iron sights off and replace it with an insert for a rail system.

Yep. They use it to kill boar on their property, if anyone's seen the pic I posted in facebook finds that's him and the gun he used for it

I FINALLY bought a SW 442 today and I'm fucking excited. It took forever to find a new one without the stupid lock.

Went back to that same friend's house and shot his new-to-him Ruger Mini-14. Most orgasmic gun I've ever shot, had a small kick but you can feel the power. We went hunting for boar and coyotes...couldn't find shit.

Mauser made thousands of different rifles for just about every country, which are you talking about?

I own 2 nazi marked WWII 8x57 mm mauser K98 rifles, one commercial Mauser pre WWII .22LR and one pre WWII Chilean mauser in 7x57 mauser.

Was talking about a K98 specifically, or a RC surplus. I know there are tons of types but I don't know them all.

I sold a bunch of stuff recently and I'm trying to decide whether I want to build a cheap AR or buy a nice Mauser.

Went to the range with my 442. The recoil was more aggressive than I was expecting, although I'm not sure if I noticed a difference between standard and +p loads. Do I need to oil this thing? The manual didn't mention it.

Yeah right, you should see the desert around Las Vegas. Sloan Pit (where I shoot) has so much garbage it's absolutely disgusting. I will take pictures next time I go out.

People never pick up what they bring with. Targets, brass/steel casings, shotgun shells, couches, televisions, paint cans, glass bottles, plates, wood pallets... you name it.
We have volunteers go out with a full construction sized dumpster every couple of months and even when it's full, it doesn't look like anything has been cleaned.

Shitty.  Places will get closed down if they continue to get trashed.

Pro-tip:  Set the junk you shoot (TVs, bottles, etc) on a tarp for somewhat easy cleanup.  Wrap up the junk in the tarp and go.

FWIW, I do not shoot monitors, TVs, glass, and such.

There are always shells and cases, as far as you can see. I've never seen this much trash though.

A man got shot while we were out there as well. He was about a mile behind us on the other side of the road.

I know some of you guys are into tactical gear. Thinking of getting a 511 backpack. Either the 12 or 24 hour. Not sure which. Any suggestions?
