I hate the look of the STI right above my post.
Hideous body style...

They have really grown on me a lot. On the other hand why is quad pipes needed on a car with only four cylinders?

the new sti's are pretty lame imo they basically changed the entire car for the worst and kept the engine the same

4 pipes are needed just as much as a 3in exhaust on a little 4 banger. It's not.

this isnt exactly true because a guy with a kswapped civic dyno'd with a 2.5" exhaust then changed it out for a 3" the same day and dyno'd it and got some decent gains. it was something like 10-20 whp which isnt much but for an all motor car it is.

I know and as dumb as it is I just can't get used to it, It looks good I just don't think it fits.

same goes for a Volkswagen on a set of Advans or rotas.

There is hardly any wheelset I would rather have for my EG hatchback than a set of 15x8 BBS RS001s...

Also, Rotas aren't really that hardcore JDM, so throwing them on a VW shouldn't really make any fanbois cry too much. I could see people getting mad if it was a set of these or something:

If those BBS wheels on that Civic turn you off, what do you think of this? Blasphemy? I really kinda dig it...

Sorry for the smll pics, only ones I could find, anyone got more pics of this neat little frankenstein?

performance VW had a special on that car a while ago and if you read the article you will understand that we have nothing against honda engines. the only reason i hate bbs on hondas is because every kid i know with a civic hates on german everything

10-20whp gain from going from a 2.5 to a 3. I smell a crock of bullshit. Its not like a small displacement single bank of cylinder motor will magically gain that much power from the added 0.5 inch in its exhaust. The only time you would see a gain like that is if you swapped out the stock cat, pipe and headers for something after market. Even then thats like 10-15 Hp max.
