I might have missed something, but dont you have a civic you recently got? Anyway, try finding a sentra se-r. Yeah, its sentra, but from what ive heard, the se-r's are really decent. Its hard to find what youre looking for, like sheep said.

Let me re-phrase my answer since I missed a few key points.  :bustin:

Lets pick high end Japanese, with a legendary bulletproof motor, low miles, not too old, and for $6k...

You're asking for a Supra for $6k. :nuts:

Luxury Japanese comes at a cost, motors like that are few and far between, low miles cost money, newer costs money. You have Supra tastes on a Honda budget, stick to your Honda or be prepared to give up a few requirements.

guy that works at autozone by me has a white one turbo'd pretty sure it's a project cuz the body is gross.

i have 4k now and should be getting at least 6k from the civic (selling because i want a less "targeted" car for thieves and problems keep coming up on this thing). if i could afford a clean gs400 i would not doubt get one but the automatic only is kind of a drag. a b13 is a possibility but its damn hard to find clean ones and the se-r only came in a coupe (not too big a deal but prefer a sedan).

i really want two cars, a nice luxury-ish sedan and a miata. but since two cars is not an option i need to combine the convenience and ergonomics of the sedan with the fun of the miata

edit: i forgot about my other choice, the impreza rs2.5 sedan. i doubt ill find one though

subaru impreza rs, infiniti g20 (p10 or p11), or sentra se-r (b13) are starting to be the finalists

any non turbo impreza is boring as hell. Glad your not like the 99% of people who must have rwd for some reason. I dont really know the american market (some cars seem to sell for stupid money over there?) but sentras seem like a wise investment. Chuck a sr20det or sr16/20ve and you will have a fun little car.

You grew up with fwd didn't you.

Many who learn on rwd, prefer it, it drives different.

Maybe, But you can have as much fun with a FWD car as you can RWD as long as you know how to drive it.

The amount of speed it takes to slide a fwd car makes it a bit less fun for normal street driving. Not that I would know anything about that.


Truth is, each type of drivetrain can do things the others can't.

I've had both. They are both fun, but my front drive turbo car is a hell of alot more fun then my older camaro. This is also because its set up to handle the power , full bushings, coilovers, solid mounts etc. I can outlaunch my old camaro in this thing, granted i didn't have much suspension work in the camaro. Turbo car also has around 260-280 to the wheels vs. camaros' NA 350 putting down 230-250. The nice thing is i still get a hell of alot better gas milage when cruisin vs. the V8.
