Something about this photo makes me want a skateboard again, real bad.

Nice work!

Thanks.

Nice flashlight, it looks like a lightsaber.  How long did it take to machine that?

I made a rear rack out of 3/8" stainless steel tubing for my motorcycle this weekend.  It didn't quite come out as I had planned as I didn't have the right tools to properly bend the tubing, but it's not too bad for a first try at rack making.  I brazed it with 56% silver solder and brass filler rod.

Round stock is heavier than I would want, which is why I went with tubing.

The sand suggestion sounds like it would be worth a try; thanks!

Here's my new project.

It's a horn cap for the steering wheel of my '51.  My first try at upholstery type stuff.  The circles are 1/4" and 1/8" baltic birch plywood which I routed and glued together.  I used contact cement to cover that with leather.  It's drying right now and then I'll put some staples in the back.  I'm also planning on adding a convexed (cap) piece of hardwood in the center but I don't have any lighter colored wood that would contrast the leather well...

Let me know what you think.  I'll post more when I finish.
