That's awesome! I've seen a lot of people building these recently for some reason. I want tomake one!

They arent cheap I can tell you that. I averaged material out for 3 and it came out to like $32 dollars a piece. But I didnt have any scrap, or glue or the finishing stuff. Also stay away from poly, was not happy with its finish. Next one will be boiled linseed oil.

All depends on the look you're going for. Poly can be a bit of pain to get to look nice but it can look really nice with a bit of work. What'd you use to apply the poly? Did you sand it and apply multiple coats?

used a rattle can. built up 3 coats then started sanding between coats. I started with some 400 and worked up to 0000 steel wool. I am impressed for the rattle can. just should that thought about other finishes out there/

Built a new TV stand out of some scrap redwood me and my pops tore out of house built back in 1918 in San Diego. I think it cam out nice.
