I rode my bike in front of my house in the monsoon rain going on at like 7pm while it was about 90degrees out.
Started to get my flat 3s again at speed

Put grips on and rode. Did a long ass backwards rocket manual. A friend started a bike company with the frames being welded here in Houston so I put one of his stickers on my bike.

put this together over the weekend. Bunch of old parts I had laying around and some I stole off a bike I never ride.

Then I rode it yesterday and had fun.

Fitted my new Deda Superleggera/Superleggero bars and stem a month ago, and the shape was different to the previous bars I had on there, so have been spending the month tweaking.  Finally got things right.

Also, my rear wheel that I built finally settled in so I can stop fiddling with it.

Nice.

Whole bike is sub 6kg now, which I can really feel on mega steep climbs.

Got a fresh pair of locking Tech-77's. Tomorrow morning I'll bend them to my liking and get the rest of my brakes sorted.

I used to love bending Tech77s.  Are you also going to file out the part where the lever meets the main body so you can run it really far down the curve of your bars, late 90's style?

Negative. My boss had his old lever somewhat like that, and I didn't really like the feel of it.

There's nothing quite like a well bent Tech77.

Re-readjusted front brakes. Can't wait to get them just right.

And bathed my chain in oil and tried freeing up some of the tough links. Thanks to every one giving me a hard time about it in my bikecheck :)

Can't say I have ever lubed a chain on my BMX bike in probably almost 2 decades.  You crazy, girl.  You crazy.
