Took off opposite side pegs since I haven't been using them lately. In the process I noticed my (front 2, out of 4) alu. pleg inserts were cracked in like 4+ spots... scary. The (monkey hub) washers had warped so much they were kinda in a cone shape and the female-style bolts were actually pulling the washer inside of the hole on the alu. insert, basically wedging the hole open causing it to crack apart. Coulda wrecked ma face pretty good I reckon.
You could pick up marmoset collars for pretty cheap, they fit the monkey hub.

walked my mtb a mile up a trail called 'mile', finger checked if all my bolts were tight. one was kinda loose so i jam a twig in there and torqued it as hard as i could.
i guess it was hard enough to snap the bolt :(
rode down the hill but no sweet jumps :(
fuck, i cant believe my suspension relies on a fucking 5mm bolt. thats what i use to hold my fucking brake lever together, fuck

I also attempted to adjust my disc brakes and fucked the tiny thin brakepad spring. at least im learning to fuck it all up on something cheap.

actually it was gonna be my first time downhilling so i said fuck this and stopped walking, got bored and did a bolt check.

...took them like 5min just to walk up that part

Had a good driveway sesh trying nose manuals. It's getting easier getting into the sweet spot so I've been trying some up the curb and somewhat hanging in on them. Still need work but I like the feeling of progress.

man I would kill to have some inclines like that here to climb.
All of ours are straight up straight down just caused by eroded root systems for huge trees.

Went back to the trails where I wrecked my ankle last year and had a blast without eating shit. The highlight was seeing Daryl Nau show up and ride.  ;D

Got a driver, put my T1 back together, rode it around my street for a bit. I love it even more now.

You definitely need to ride up the fire road if it isn't your first time riding that trail. Hiking up is a good idea when you want to check out what you'll be rolling over, but riding up takes so much less effort. Also, there are different trails you can jump on up there. Crack is pretty cool and XXX is fun with tight turns and some sweet jump sections. I am also 100% sure you can guess where those trails start if you ride up the fireroad - one of them is marked on the ground, the other is sort of a no-brainer when you're looking for a steep forested chutes that drop into the top of mile.

I think I may have gone too far with my back wheel. I got an 3/8s Antigram with bluesix bolts laced to a birdcage. My bike feels too light.
