Rode it. Noticed on the side wall of my new United tire it has worn through part of the strands in one spot on my oppo grind side.

Prob my last ride on this frame since my new one will be here hopefully by the time I finish this run at work.

Trying to bring an old Alliance back to life. Going to clean up the previously "modified" dropout. Not sure if I should leave the other one alone or try to match it to the cut side.

Personally I hate all this old crap , but if you loved all this old crap then you should see it as it's patina, leave it. Shows where the frame has been and what its done, dont sterilise it...

Same. Someone posted a picture of a Casket stem on a certain Facebook group the other week and several middle aged men proceeded to cream over it. Those stems sucked 12 years ago, they don't get better with age.

Caskets were wank, don't think I ever saw one that the threads hadn't pulled out of.

The Hoffman stems from the late 90's were not that great. I never saw one strip out, but the shop I worked in sold Hoffman and those stems can ovalize bars in heartbeat.
S&M Rednecks were where it's at.

Old stems are sweet for putting in socks and bludgeoning deceased equestrians.
