Good point. I greased my grips too cause they were tricky to get on. I'm gonna grease my brake pads next

Seriously though, what brake pads are best to use with painted rims? I don't want to wear the paint off.

I've always used clear coat to put grips on. It dries so hard that your grip will need to be cut off when you do change them. Never heard of using grease for that. Are they slippery at all?

I was joking about that. Greasing your grips sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Super stupid question now but what about where the stem clamps the steerer tube and where it clamps the bars?

Good point. NO don't grease the bar clamp. steerer is fine and aluminium seatpost in a steel frame is a must.

You going to replace them? Same thing is going to happen.

Just take the pile into your local bearing stockists and have them measure it all up. The inner race is just defined by its dimensions, hopefully it will be off the shelf.

Yeah I had thought of replacing them G thought it might be cheaper than buying a whole new driver.

Also thought it would be quicker to get this mess running again rather than waiting for the gcoaster or the odyssey one

I cant fault your logic on either of those. Bearings should be much cheaper than a whole driver (though I have no idea how much a new driver costs) assuming you can get everything out; and definitely quicker. Hopefully the Odyssey one Aaron is on will be out later this year but it is likely to be just in time for Xmas rather than summer.. and obviously that isnt a firm estimate just a wild guess..

This is going to sound stupid considering ive owner like 30pairs of grips,but how do you stretch them?really tired of my short edwins.

Boil them for 3 mins and stretch them by hand

I'm running a cult butter. I think it's ok. Not as quick grinding as I though it would be (on skate park ledges that are know for being slow). It seems to be lasting ok but I haven't tested it on any haggard ledges yet.

Think the cults are abit longer than the gsports too. I'd run a pleg2 in the back
