Roadie question:

About 'Problem solvers' (axle nuts). What is with the different sizes? 9 / 10 mm? Then on various websites nuts some are called rear and some are called front?

I got some 10mm x 1mm (what does the 1 mm even stand for?) nuts and they don't fit on either my front axle (goes completely over it) and on the rear (does thread on, but wiggles way too much, too much space, would probably shear thread of if I tighten it...)

Any ideas? Can't find any real info on this anywhere.

There are 9 and 10mm axles. The 1mm is the thread pitch I think.

google reverse image search says
http://bpfbg.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/fbm-hub-guard.html
and google translate says
"The following are the amps custom hub file corresponds to the profile, racing FIXED / FIXED the REAR HUB
Hub file are you doing? Simple hub wire is the card dry protection
Another effect is the card thing, whether it is dry sub-or cement wood down
Both the intersection rocket launcher slide the hub file instantly have a rallying point for a more stable glide support force,
General hub file both a lock rotation of the frame level of dropouts and the hub the center of the wheel hub file does not move,
Another class Gsport hub hub file file with plastic band the bundled wire, followed by the Wheels Turn. Good or bad a matter of opinion!
Reference to the friends love the card dry!"

no idea what guard it is, but i want to do a rocket launcher slide now.

Profile driver
« Reply #126 on: March 21, 2012, 09:07:06 AM »
So my driver is pretty worn out. Bearings are fine just the teeth are worn and the pawls and springs are super worn out and basically fell out when I took my hub apart. The engagment is all sloppy and not as a Profile should be so my question is should I replace the whole driver or just get new pawls and springs, and does anyone know where I can buy a complete driver with bearings and pawls/springs?

Thanks!

Get the Primo pawl&springs set, it's about £40 cheaper than Profile ones. If that doesn't sort it get a new driver, you'd have to buy the pawls and springs anyway.

What style brake mounts do Magura HS33s use? Is there an adaptor for cantilever mounts?

they fit on canti/v brake mounts.

I've seen one ran on a bmx before, so I'm guessing there's some kind of adaptor that goes from 990 > canti mounts

edit: had a quick google and can't seem to find any adaptors. even if you got one made it'd probably flex a fair bit. why do you want to run a hs33 anyway?

Nope, but they use the same(ish) pawls and springs. The Primo ones seem to last longer.

My seat system is making all sorts of noises when I sit down n peddle. It's a fly post to a senior 2. Everything's tight but it makes the grossest noises! I'm haven't had a railed post since like before pivotal seats came out n I never remembered having this issue so I'm thinking it's the fly post. I love the looks of the fly post but I hate the noise so I came here...

Anyone else had weird problems like this with a fly post and/or senior 2 seat.

Thnxz :)
That's WACC!
