Fit Mac Bars.... Im digging the upsweep & the straight gauge tubing, however not too keen on the width, normally i wouldnt give two shits & just cut them down but they have the wider radius'. So i need to know, those who have them can you cut them down to 27" with 150mm grips without them being on the bend? I want the grips right on the bends as is the way, just not actually on them.

Do you have the bars now? If so then push your grips down and see. If not then tell me to shut up.

Im riding Mac bars cut to 27.5" with ody cufflinks - had to cut them about 1/4" to keep them off the bends.

Does anyone have a Duo Fat Perf seat? Whats the padding like? Is it soft & squishy or like alot of other mid/fat seats with rock hard padding?

Cheers

I saw the Perf seat at a shop. It seems pretty soft although looks very bulbous. Its kinda a strange looking seat

3 questions:

Is there a feasible way for me to shorten my 175mm Powerbites to 160mm?

Or is there a way I can make my 175mm Powerbites feel like 160mm?

Or should I just stop being a nonce and deal with it?

Edit: fuck it, 5 questions:

what's the best guard sprocket about these days? dual guard MDS? will it fit powerbite cranks? (I remember reading a file is needed, I own a file so that's fine)

also are cranks measured centre of bb spindle to centre of pedal spindle? my powerbites are so beat they don't seem to have any measurements stamped anywhere

Being that Powers are solid you could make a pedal boss further up the arm :o You'd need some weird size taps (one being a lefty) and to take some material off to get it all square. Probably have to move it more than 5-15mm too. Pretty ridiculous job

MDS is good, to fit it to Powers you file down the corner next to the sprocket bolt hole

so it's squarer

Yeah Hufnagel I figured it would be a daft job that's far beyond my capabilities of hitting things with hammers until they work but I asked anyway. I think I'll get used to it soon enough anyway, just been riding 160mm flatware cranks and it feels very strange now.

The sprocket will clear the frame for sure, Ive had a 36t tree on there before with no issues, filing down the wee edge should be no problem. Thanks pals

So guys, ive got the FBM coming & when it arrives its going to be built up with all new parts. Im gunna get Solid cranks but, my question for you is....

Due to the short chainstays i cant run an MDS so, im going to run a beefy chain & a thick sprocket. Im pretty sure the thickest sprocket is 8mm but for the life of my i cant remember what it is. What sprockets come in 8mm, i could live with a sprocket thats 8mm & tapers to 6mm in the middle but what options do i have sprocket wise?

Cheers.

Can't really, they're sold out.
