Chrome Slam Bars, they're a bitch to cut down.

Bought a brand new hacksaw this morning, and it will not cut through them. It's not even making a mark. Any suggestions?

too late now probs but you can use use a metal file/rasp or a grinder to remove some of the chrome before you try and cut it

Has anyone had problems fitting pedals to Profile crank arms?

I bought new pedals and cranks, but when I try and screw the pedal into the arm it wont catch.

It's definitely a crank problem as the pedals screw straight into the other two sets of cranks I have. And yes, It is the right pedal.

I've been running 30-10 for a while and love it. With a coaster on one bike and a cassette on the other. More speed, normal gearing just feels too easy to me now. Doesn't bother me with short runups either.

I'll be running a 13" CS its super poppy, so im pretty sure the gearing wont really effect the short run up stuff. Just give me a little extra speed cruising spot hunting & racing my friends lol.

CS length doesn't affect acceleration, choice of gearing will though

I know the CS length wont effect acceleration, What what i meant was with the short CS it will be easier to get the pop in a shorter run up (to say a rail) even with the harder gearing.

How would I be able to tell if my Tree sprocket is US made? It's a lite Bolt drive I got a little over 2 years ago.

I'm pretty sure the US made Tree Lite sprockets had the name engraved in it as opposed to the laser etching on the current ones.

what was said above is true, but you can also email me a picture to info@treebicycleco.com and i can see if sam will have more insight into where/when it was made. we used quite a few usa manufacturers before taiwan did them.

Are JCPC pedal bodies really side specific? I need new bodies for my grinding side both left and right. Do I really have to spend 2x£9.99  or can I just buy one body, use one side on the right and one on the left?
is it a case of it not fitting or will it just look/feel a bit different? Given it's the side i grind on i don't really care if it feels odd or anything because my feet won't be touching it

This is probably very poorly worded.

they are left/right specific and wont fit into each other.

the original body replacement packaging comes with a side for each, many bikeshops that stocks them split the sides themselves and charge you for one side i think (effectively doubling the price).

the way Empire sells them is USD 7 per order:
http://www.empirebmx.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9669

you get two 'halves' of the same side

i'd imagine it being the same in england, spend 20 quid now, you'll get a total of four halves.

This is bullshit. It's like when shops sell the bar ends separately from the grips that they are supposed to come with.

A good material for a seat cover? My denim cloth is worn out and I was thinking something more durable or just go with denim again?
