Well yeah but not in the same way as steel. It'll take a good while to start showing signs of oxidization in the first place, but then once the entire surface is oxidized to a certain depth (extremely small number, I'm not sure what it is) it will stop and won't go any deeper. I don't think something like Nitromors would speed that process up but I guess it could happen...
I don't know enough to give you a definite answer, but I would be tempted to say you'll be fine.
