Pre '07 Odyssey forks are H18 and post '07 ones are H24.

kinda the same topic: where can i get an h18 topbolt that fits the new odyssey countersunk stems? i have a sexton stem lying around for almost a year, that i got pretty cheap - but im not into rounding off my old classic race fork topcap for it  :(

I have an Odyssey Dirt fork from 2005ish and Poverty POW cranks from early 2000's. I just preorder a 2016 Barcode. Can i use my old cranks/forks with mid bb's and integrated headtubes? I'd rather buy just a bottom bracket and headset  instead of cranks and forks.

You just have to put the race from the integrated headset onto your forks and find a 20mm mid bb for your cranks. Eastern does 20mm mid bbs but can't find them on a store yet.

www.google.com/webhp?q=h18%20topcap%20fork

yeah thanks, but that only answered half my question =P
but it reminded me, that the tree one might work (still available in some stores)
the cult kinda scares me off with the square whole in the top? guess it has a hex fitting inside somewhere.

to my surprise i found an old wtp top-bolt in my old-parts-bin that fits.

still confused, if i still need the forks steer-tube "protection" insert with the race forks, or if it was for use with the elementary stem only - anybody remembers?
guess it was something about the forks steer-tube thickness that made the insert cap above the stem necessary.

What are the pros and cons of trimming dropouts on a frame?

No real cons unless you have warranty left on the frame, less chance of pinching on grinds, neater and out of the way for pegs, drop in weight (not too significant unless its an old sta500 or something) less leverage for twisting backend if you land on the drop out/
Lovin' is what i got.

The range ofc is lower

But if you don't care about that then you're golden. You actually only need about 3/8" (or 1/8" if you are happy to commit to half links) as the next position after the 4th (1t = ~1/8") would be 1/2" from front of dropout slot and therefore you could just remove a link

1 tooth difference = ~1/8" difference in wheel position in dropout slot
1 half link = 2 teeth = 2/8" = 1/4"
1 full link = 4 teeth = 2 half links = 4/8" = 2/4" = 1/2"

Maybe go for 1/2" though to allow for chain 'stretch' and/or not having to slam on certain tooth quantities

Will the Sunday Seeley peg sleeves fit on Pleg 2 inserts?

Are the Seeley pegs the "4.5 inch plegs"  that were rumored a few months (years? I can't keep track of time) ago?
