Correct. Big Dave and Joby at FBM made them, and they are made very very well.

It's much tighter than I like to build rear ends. I typically shoot for something around 2.750".

I know solid had made some barcodes a few years back, do you think you could make them wider due to the wishboners and things?

Nope, but building frames that can't accept "modern" sizes is risky in my opinion.

I can't say anything for certain (we could be measuring differently,) but from what I've read about the latest production sample of the Barcode frames, I'd pay attention to that rear end clearance and your tire choice.

I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I thought it would be pertinent to put my two cents in.

I wasn't around when the Barcodes were made here, so I couldn't say.

hmm i'm kind of worried then, i am one of those who do like a larger rear tire. I could live with 2.15 or 2.10 though.

Don't stress, unless you plan on riding something mad wide you should be plenty fine.

I feel like its an unwritten rule not to talk about your competition. Whether its good, bad, or neutral. That being said, tire clearance is important and I'm glad you brought it up. Lucky for me, I run a 2.0 in the back with an almost perfectly straight wheel because I'm OCD. My barcode should be fine. It would be interesting to see Dan's start listing tire clearance for each frame.

I'd love to see that. It's one of those things that doesn't get addressed by many companies and with the rise of 2.4"+ tires, it will be a courtesy to know that measurement.
