I keep thinking about buying a Keychain but I find the expense hard to justify when a Bluebird is doing the job just fine. Any first impressions that might sway me?

Such a handsome bike!

I have had the key-chain for about 6 months, love it, but creaks a bit when bedding in if you have ridden another chain for a while. Its silent now and feels very solid. For the record its the hollow pin version.

I've rode with the hollow key chain for a few hours so far and it's been fine from the first pedal, no creaking or anything. There wasn't anything wrong with my Fly Tractor chain but I needed a new 10 tooth titanium driver and fancied changing to 30/10 so changed driver, sprocket and chain at the same time so could be why there wasn't any creaking.

All I would say about the key chain is follow the instructions properly, and make sure you have a decent chain tool. The (what I thought was) decent one in our work shop had a slightly burred end on it so I couldn't get the key chain link extractor sleeve over the end of it and the cheap one I got off display didn't have enough thread to fit the sleeve over and still push the link out. Odyssey have made one especially for it and it's not too expensive so worth buying.

It's a quality idea and even though I initially looked at it as a bit gimmicky due to the Allen key links, the added strength and quality is worth the price tag.

Cheers man! I've ran a Fly Ruben front and a Fit FAF on the back for years but have always been tempted by Rubens front and rear. So glad I did, it's so much faster than the FAF! Going fast > everything.

2.15's front and rear. I only run 60psi in my tyres and the 2.35's feel slow at that pressure. Can't be going slow!

Yep 20.75", and with welded brake mounts. Dreamy!

We took the tarps off and rode part of our mainline today for the first time since September.

And a screen grab from the first:

The new Mutiny stuff arrived at work today and along with it came my new saddle. It's the slim one but it looks pretty chunky from that angle.

I'm taking the frame down to the blasters next week and mixing it up a bit.

Had a quick ride at Redditch after work tonight on it too.
