No, it's definitely worth it. I was riding kirkwood Sunday. Man I missed snowboarding! Dropped some cliffs and shredded through some chutes.

I'll be quitting my job soon. I'm a kitchen porter/FOH and they have me on a fixed weekly salary. They've been sneaking in extra hours here and there and the pay hasn't changed. Used to make out like a bandit with tips every day as we would split them between whoever was working (2-3 people), but they've hired 3 more staff and the tips haven't increased.

It was a great job for the last year and a half but I think its time for a change of scenery. Gonna see if I can get a bike messenger gig for the time being. I think I'd enjoy it. In fairness my 40 minute cycle to work has been the most enjoyable part of the day for the last few weeks. Even in the pissing rain.

A friend of mine is working at Kirkwood for the season and I'm super jealous.
Snowboarding is weak in Michigan. Unless you're super into rails, and as I get older I'm more interested in doing a big slash over a lip slide. Not even having any real snow on the ground is lame, can't do street stuff and can't take my dog shredding down a hill next to my house. I've been trying to apply for some jobs in Colorado lately, would be rad if something worked out.

I quit my shitty nightclub job last month, it was fucking liberating.

I called up my cunt boss and told her I was on a bus to London and wasn't going to be in because I had better things to do.

She even called me up the next day asking if I wanted to work this shitty house night, I told her to get fucked.

Working for twats on minimum wage till 5-6am in the morning is not cool.

I was 18, just out of high school and had a job at a pizza place where I'd been since I was about 16.  First job and all that.  Anyway, I got a last-minute opportunity to go on a spring snowboarding road trip (hands down the best time of year for anybody who likes to ride park), and being a little 18-year-old shithead, decided to pull a ''no-call, no-show'' for work.

Long story short, I coincidentally ended up seeing some coworkers on the mountain and mentioning, in a completely non-serious fashion, ''Yeah, just tell Annie (the manager) that I burned up in a car wreck or something (lolzzzz, I know, not funny in retrospect).''  Little did I know that they decided to take that comment seriously....

To say the least, Annie was a little freaked out when I showed up to say hi and apologize about 6 months later.
