Sizing question, because I usually go for smaller frames:
Back story, I cracked my beloved work bike, an All-City Big Block, at the chainstay. Found another one on eBay in that sweet lavender color they did a few years ago.
Thing is, I've been riding a 55cm, and this new one's a 58cm. Only significant difference in geo is (obviously) a 3cm increase in seat tube length, and a 2cm increase in top tube length. But the angles, chainstay length, BB height, all identical between the two sizes.
I'm not really worried about fitting it technically, since on the 55cm Big Block I was running a 120mm stem and like 16cm of exposed post. I am, however, worried about how it'll feel. My favorite thing about my old frame was how zippy and quick it felt through traffic, and besides, that setup was comfortable to boot for 8-hour-a-day riding.
Should I be worried? Or do you reckon I'm just being a wuss and it'll feel just about the same as the old one, provided a shorter (~100mm) stem?
edit-- The long stem has more to do with my choice in bar (quite a bit of sweep), than my being outsized for the 55cm.
