Fixed gear bikes/ Post your big bikes V2
Finn the Human:
Some muesli mixed with shreddies and a banana. Maybe some green tea. Then I get my kit together and go so about 20 minutes. Over 30 miles and I'll bring food with me. Afterwards I'll stuff my face like I've never eaten before. I have a high 5 carb/protein mix drink when I'm out.

Seriously underestimated how many km id do a day. Pushing 100+km easily and only stop cause it's getting dark. Did 10 hours in the saddle today. Lots of climbing and getting lost. Just arrived in Domfront. It's a little town south of Vire.
French roadbikers are seriously cool. I get a big cheer and a wave whenever we cross paths. Sleeping in a tent in the woods tonight. Waiting for it to get dark so I can go to sleep without fear of being spotted. Closest Tinder match is 60km away. Fucking French countryside.

Ended up being sick at the side of the road half way up this hill so went home. Searched it online when I got back and it was a 1km climb with an average gradient of 9.7% and maximum gradient of 21.8%.
Everything was wrong before I left - wasnt hydrated enough, rushed through different breakfast I've never had before, necked a big smoothie before I left, tyres were soft and I didn't have a pump...bad day. What's everyone eat before a ride? Is it worth getting a good breakfast in right before you go, or to eat then leave it at least 30 mins?

Getting food right is the most important part of pedalling the bike I think. A bowl of muesli and some scrambled eggs on toast with a coffee would do me for ~80 miles/4 hours. Eat a cereal bar or two on the way round because running out of energy sucks.

Finally got the rest of the parts for my Orange build ordered, should be finished at the weekend.
master:
Similar breakfast here before riding, oatmeal and a banana with a mug of tea.
If I'm traveling to ride I'll eat a dry bagel and a banana while driving. Still tea as well, drip coffee and I do not get along.
