Fixed gear bikes/ Post your big bikes V2

My Surly LHT needs a rebuild. I've also managed to wear completely through the rear rim sidewalls.

Anybody need/want an Ultegra 11 speed rear derailleur for cheaps? Brand new. Is £25 posted reasonable?

I built up my first mtb for about 7 years.

It's titanium and has gears which is nice. It pedals really well considering the geometry, I've been using it for xc so far and it does the job even though I'm 6 foot tall.

I'm now using female titanium bolts on the rear axle instead of the annoying quick release. I would normally chop the steerer too but I'm considering buying forks that don't weigh a metric ton like the 36s.

Very nice! I think its from riding BMX that I much prefer smaller fitting bikes.

I really want one of these but its looking like I might have left it too late.

Edit for more info: I'm thinking like a multi country job with a few people, wild camping and what not. Weather depending of course. Nothing wrong with seeking sheltered accommodation.
People who couldn't make the full commitment can join for a few days if they want.

What would you guys like as a route? I'm open to suggestions.

I was thinking using London as a start point then getting the ferry or eurotunnel to Calais.

 We could go east via Belgium and Amsterdam/Germany or south to Paris and southern France.

I'll plan a few possible routes when I get home.

This is just to get an idea of what i'm thinking. I think we should try to begin and end in the same place to ease logistics. In this case Calais.

I'm more than happy to plan London to Dover as that's my neck of the woods, I know some lovely roads round there. Could even make it two days, cut through Surrey as well

Would be cool to head south west from London, through the Surrey Hills then along the coast via Hastings to Dover.

Bear in mind I'm just looking at a map here so i have no idea if these places are desirable. Would be cool to visit the white cliffs area though.

Three of us are planning on riding to Bruges this summer, so could combine part of that with you all if the dates and route work out. Theres supposed to be a nice route up the coast from Calais.

How many days is that do you reckon Hugh? Calais might be a bit rough at the moment. There's another port further down. I'll find out what its called.

Quite fancy Belgium but not Paris.
