Just got hired on as a machinist. Less than a year of school under my belt and I'll be making more hourly than I have at any other job I've had. Fuckin wild... Didn't see this turning into a career this quickly but I'm pumped as hell on it.

What program did you take at school?

CNC Machine Technology program at a local community college. Learned a ton from basic G&M coding to MasterCAM x9, setups on HAAS and Fadal machines, etc etc. Ran a couple parts last semester, just ran my second for this class today. Really neat stuff if you like making shit and want to be in a field that is constantly expanding.
