I got a 3 bed semi detached with a decent size garden and driveway for £117k.. but then its in shitty Northamptonshire so allow for that haha.

Damn that's a good price! I'm taking the plunge wth my girlfriend later on in the year and we're looking at 2/3 beds for £170k. We're moving away from where we currently live because that would get us a shithole on the scabbiest road in town. Warwick and Leamington are expensive as fuck for towns in the Midlands.

As for affording I used an FHA loan, Kind of a pain in the dick but I only needed to put like $5700 down on a 30 year fixed. Hell my mortgage is cheaper than what I paid for in rent.

Nice, I love the park down in daytona! I live in Jax, if you ever wanna come up and ride kona, monument or anything let me know. The street here has got some pretty good spots. I normally go ride downtown at night on the weekend and go barhopping afterwards, pretty good time.

I'm in the same boat on the mortgage being cheaper than rent (not including property tax or homeowner's which I also impound) but I sure as shit didn't only have to put $5700 down!  HOA and mello roos on top of all that too.  Yay coastal California!
