I sold my Dodge to a friend after picking up the "holy grail" of Toyota trucks.
1985 Toyota pickup single cab, long bed with the factory 2LT turbo diesel.
A buddy of mine has had it for years, and I had been trying to aquire it for the last 10 years. It finally became available for $2k and I swiped it up.
Brand new 35" KM2's, Yukon 4.88's, Aussie lockers front and rear, transfer case e-brake.
The truck was stolen twice so the interior was stripped of everything stereo related, along with the Warn winch bumper and winch. It needed a bit of work. I installed new LED turn signals flush mounted to the grill, SR5 V6 4Runner big 4 pot calipers and rotors, SR5 1" mastercylinder, stainless lines, new slave cylinder, all new fluids, thermostat, cut and restructured the firewall to clear the tires.
Disc brakes and a proportioning valve out back are on the list of things to get done.
I have a VW TDI intercooler on the way, along with a new aluminum radiator and oil cooler to go on.
I'm going to build a low profile bumper this winter when my parents travel and I can snag their garage.
This summer I'll go crossover steering with a new pump and 2.5" crawler springs, air bumps, and bilsteins. I want to keep the truck as low as possible as it will be the new base for my snowboard/bike/kayak trips and only the occasional hardcore wheeling stuff.
Right now I'm getting 28mpg on 35's.
I still have my 04 4EAT WRX as well. Its in the shop right now getting Eibach springs, some Grimmspeed stuff, new Gates Racing timing belt/water pump/guides/accessory belts. When it comes home, I'm pulling the SRS downpipe and catback to take them in along with my UEL header/up-pipe to have them ceramic coated and heat wrapped.
I picked up some JDM big fog conversion pieces, a JDM carbon trim kit, and some SSR Type-C RS wheels which are currently waiting new paint/decals and some Cooper RS3-S's.
The company the repaired my car after I rear ended a lady put a bent up radiator and fans with epoxied wires instead of the quick connect factory clips back in the car so I'm working to try to get some help from insurance to cover a new cooling system as I've had to be towed home twice because of their work.
I'm undecided if I should paint match the Seibon hood/trunk or strip them back to a UV coated carbon.
