Chrisking hub conversion
« on: September 15, 2015, 07:08:42 PM »
So I have a set of Chrisking ISO hubs for a downhill bike. They're 150 x 12 thru axle with a 20mm thru axle on the front. Can I convert them to non disc hubs with 135mm rear spacing and bolt on axles?

Would I be better off just getting a different set of hubs or is it economically viable to buy the parts and swap them out?

Definitely maybe.

Chris king hubs were finicky to work on when I did them if you didn't have the proper tools to pull out the axles.

I haven't seen anyone do as drastic a change as what you're looking to do though. I say go for it if the axle kits aren't going to cost you an arm and a leg. When is anyone going to use 150mmx12 and 20x100 axles anymore?
