Pretty sure I've invented this trick...
« on: December 01, 2015, 02:12:32 AM »
https://vimeo.com/146543954

So I've been trying this trick for at least half an hour a week for the last 3 years. I think at a conservative estimate it's taken me 10,000 tries to pull it once.  It's a sign of the BMX times that pulling it at 2mph on a foot high flat bar didn't earn me any hate on the net so I thought I'd post it on an old school forum to flagelate myself. I think it's a first so I named it the 'schwing' after Wayne's World and multiple 36 chambers track samples.

Thats pretty cool! Congrats!

I suggest cutting out everything besides the trick and Garth (obviously) and send it to tcu or dig or some random instagram thing and it will probably be posted.

I'll be so psyched if this is the next evolutionary twist in bmx, or even if it takes another decade. kids getting as good at this stuff as they are now at stuff that was videogame-level/impossible circa 2000 would be so amazing.

matthias dandois talks about it heading that way in this...

Whiplash grind.

I remember seeing someone trying this in an old props inside a skatepark at a jam.

I don't think whoever it was pulled it, though, so you might be the first to actually pull it, which in my book means you get to name it.
