I took a couple of pictures just now for clarification.
I don't really know how it happened, I do know that I tend to hit my hub guard on my way into a grind so that's why I thought it was due to the plastic guard not being supported all the way.

Does the new (or older, in this case) tooling prevent this from happening?
I really wouldn't mind getting a different hub guard, I understand that sometimes a part isn't made for everyone.
The hub itself is great though, I love that thing.
