Odyssey Clutch hubguard alternatives

Hi guys, I'm looking for a new hubguard for my Odyssey Clutch hub, because I broke the stock one and it's likely to happen again because I broke it (twice) where there is nothing to support the plastic guard.

Does anyone know wether or not a Shadow SOD hubguard fits on a clutch?
I feel like it might be too small to fit over the non-drive side of the Clutch.
If not, do you think an S&M Symbal would be big enough to fit?

Please get in touch with warranty for a replacement.

We had an issue where the factory just randomly changed the tool without telling us and this made the guards super tight on the collars so there was a lot of stress induced in the guard before you even did a single grind. This leads to premature failure. The tool has been put back to how it was originally for all the prototypes now and there should be new guards that are much much stronger available from warranty.

Thought I saw a photo of the daily grind guard on a clutch

First of all, thanks for the fast reply.

I took a couple of pictures just now for clarification.
I don't really know how it happened, I do know that I tend to hit my hub guard on my way into a grind so that's why I thought it was due to the plastic guard not being supported all the way.

Does the new (or older, in this case) tooling prevent this from happening?

I really wouldn't mind getting a different hub guard, I understand that sometimes a part isn't made for everyone.

The hub itself is great though, I love that thing.

with a properly made guard there may be less forces acting on it as opposed to the increase of forces on the improper guard.

kink has a universal guard out that i used with my geisha lite, i reckon it fits pretty much anything. it's pretty awesome, but since it doesn't go on the axle i actually managed to lose mine when i broke some spokes and my wheel moved. i'd still recommend it though

Hi guys,
Just letting you know that the Shadow SOD guard fits, apparently we had one laying around at the shop.
I'm pretty sure that's the smallest 3rd party guard you can fit on it (it literally has no 'play' once you fit it on the collar, if that makes any sense).

I contacted the warranty dept. and they said the (stock ODSY Clutch) revised hub guards would only be available by February, so I'm going to wait out on getting a replacement till then.

I'm using a daily grind guard on my clutch, no issues. Personally didn't trust the plastics guard. Chipped way too many bsd guards.

You also can run a GSport Uniguard Rear Hub Guard on drive and non-drive side.
