how do i lower camera resolution on android phone
« on: August 09, 2016, 01:35:38 PM »
hey, how do you lower camera resolution on an android phone? (motoG) i know when i open camera from the text prompt, it instantly takes a small file size photo (great for fast moving shots)

but when i open the camera and take a pic, it slowly takes a high res photo that is usually a couple megabites and fills up my hard drive pretty damn fast. any ideas anywhere? i cant find shit in the camera settings or an answer in my google queries. maybe theres an app or something that takes low res photos?? looking for a solution better than taking all photos from the text prompt

It might vary from phone to phone as the camera app is usually brand-specific, albeit named generically 'camera'.

My personal trick was to get sawdust inside my phone and on the lens covers rear side - very shitty photos.
I've got one of them Sornys and I just hit the little settings gear and it lays out the option. My auto-mode is just an 8mp picture, manual up to 20.

What kind of cellular android device do you have?
