thinking about freecoasting
« on: August 13, 2016, 06:23:32 PM »
as much as i love pedal pressuring halfcabs i came to conclusion that i want to freecoast.

I´m heavy on pegs and low on cash.

My options are merritt, demolition or cult or fiend.

any comments on these hubs i just need to get rid of my cassette and begin my journey.

Despite my few issues with the Clutch, Id say yes. Youll never have to worry about blowing a bearing , ever! Mine is set to full slack, I never adjust it.. so the slack adjuster may be a big thing to some or not.  Cant speak much on them but from what Ive read on sites, people seem to have problems with the Demo and Cult versions.  Merritt has a bushing in the driver which could be very beneficial/helpful.. they also just advertised a female axle replacement kit. Im a big fan of Fiend products but their coaster is the same compared to most as its a KHE style coaster.  Could always get the Sunday coaster over the Clutch and save a few bucks

Seems like a solid hub, it already has a nylon hub guard out so seems like garrett has been using it.

Not that i fanatize about garrett but still for it being my first fiend part seems pretty solid looking.

I wanted something fast and cheap so i got the first option that came along, which makes it perfect for my whip not to expensive but still working fine.

Besides i only use my whip like once a week or once a month i just wanted to really do some fake shit see how that goes this year. Cheers.

I just got a clutch but spent five minutes on it so far pretty stoked on it though.
