Bitcoin, Litecoin, Etherium...
« on: October 15, 2017, 09:52:46 AM »
10/8 I placed $150 in Bitcoin, $130 in Litecoin, & $100 in Etherium. Which was $380.

FFWD one week later 10/15, that amount has increased to a $510 USD value. Thanks to Bitcoin and Litecoin increasing 20%, and Etherium 8%. I use 'Coinbase' currently.

130$ personally gained from the value of crypto-currency increasing in one week.

Anyone else doing this? I'm gonna ride this wave all the way in (*whoah*)!

Is it true that this isn't one of those shady pyramid schemes we've all heard about? And is, in fact, a trapezoid model?

I've wanted to buy some bit coin and shit but I don't even know where to start. As far as I know, it's not a pyramid scheme.

There's a phone app named 'Coinbase' that I use, and it works great. No bugs or errors discovered yet. I read the terms and agreements through. Coinbase.com is the same, for pc's, or laptops, it's a 'wallet' you'll need for transactions. You're able to buy Etherium, Bitcoin, or Litecoin on there. With Bitcoin, you can buy other emerging crypto-currencies such as Ripple, or NEM. Those two are only worth like 30 cents each, but $4billion of it gets traded per day. With Bitcoin, Litecoin and Etherium you can buy products online and an increasing amount of retailers worldwide.

Is it true that this isn't one of those shady pyramid schemes we've all heard about? And is, in fact, a trapezoid model?

Haha pyramids are sick. And nope since only 21 billion bitcoin will ever exist. Unlike corrupt currencies that just print more money, and then print more money. Or issue money that does'nt exist.  Such as the 2017 US dollar being worth 3 pennies, compared to in like 1917.

Let me get some bit coins.

If I score some extra coinz then absolutely. You can set up a computer with like 10 graphics cards, to mine this encrypted part of the internet for coinZ$Z.

Sorry Kirk I was only japing. Truth be told a friend of mine bought in on BC when it was first public, and made plenty off of it.

I have a work buddy that has been buying gold bars for a couple years now. He started in 2015 when it was relatively low in price. Actually quite jealous of his stash now! He's made some nice money just over the couple of years and the price is currently no where near where it was say 5 years ago. So hopefully for him it continues to rise.

I wouldn't know about trading, well, anything. I don't know that my mate had a clue either, he was just always on the bleeding edge of tech and bought into it for the hell of it as opposed to a planned investment. Luck just happened to go his way.

Here in Australia the one market on everyone's mind seems to be real estate

Right on. Real Estate is starting to pick back up here in the US as well. Friend of mine bought a brand new house 2-3 years ago. I finished his basement and laundry room and drywalled his garage for him as rent payments. He's moving and listing his house. Looks like he'll easily make $60,000 on it.

Wish I was more responsible and had money like that to throw around but I'm just a lazy sack of shit.

I made a couple bucks this past week off BTC, ETH, and LTC. The market dipping super bad on Wednesday gave way to some serious recovery. Bunch of noobs sold off all their shit when it dipped, sank the prices even lower. Wish I had more to invest, currently, but I'm pretty happy with the returns I've seen of the little bit of money I've been playing with.

I was thinking about putting about a grand into bitcoin in January of this year but was worried it was just too volatile of a currency...  Wish I had because I would have made a killing with what it's worth now.

It's gone up at such a quick rate now that I'm hesitant to buy into it because it just seems like when any investment increases so quickly that it has a big falloff happen.
