Eclat Cortex clutch on a Primo Freemix
« on: March 06, 2018, 01:55:10 AM »
I'm helping a friend who has the Primo Freemix. It dos'nt engage when pedaling, so he bought a new driver and clutch. The replacements are for a Eclat Cortex, and it has a spring inside inside the cltuch for some reason.

The question is. If I remove the spring system, will it workt as a normal clutch and driver?

I'm still riding a KHE Geisha with an modified aluminium "shemale" axle, and have had this a looooong time. So I know how to maintance a freecoaster. So I'll probably open the Freemix and see if I can't figure out what's wrong with it anyway.

Not sure what the spring is for but I would just try it with it first and see if it works. I would imagine that it would work fine without it as long as there is something large enough to prevent the clutch to move too far into the hub.
