Springfield, Springfield!

New York, New York!
New York's thataway, man!

How do Springfields fare as a) Front brakes and b) Gyro brakes? Do they centre properly (or even work in the first place) as fronties, and is the spring strong enough for the extra friction of a detangler setup?

for the front its hit or miss. how you zip tie your cable will affect it. for the rear its fine with the 2 in 1 cables but didn't work that great with dual cables.

oh wait i was talking about the front lol.

dual cable just couldn't get it dialed. i'm sure a better bike mechanic could though

I expected it might not centre properly on the front as you normally have to tension the spring on the side with the housing a bit more to compensate for it's stiffness

I'm worried that the Springfield spring doesn't cope well with the extra friction of dual cables though. Were you having trouble getting your dual cable rear Springfield setup pushing the arms away from the rim far enough?
