A new Sheep-Dog Bites has been posted on the main page.
You will have to read it for info on what it is about.
-
Oh Oh Oh! im the first to say that it was an excellent article Doug. along with all the others....well, anyways, keep up the good work.
-
After reading that article, it has totally changed my views on some companies. Some companies don't do shit for the riders they do it for the money. They listen to the ideas we give them then make money off of it without doing some thourough thinking.
-
so the new hollowbites arent stronger than powerbites?
-
Very good read.
-
very good read, i agree
-
nice, i agree more than i have a differnet view of it.
-
Woot!
-
Woot!
just what i was about to say
-
Re-hashed...I consider this a bump of the other bites,
-
BMX is trendier then a 14 year old girl watching MTV.
Its like the weather in Maine, if you don't like it wait a minute.
-
please bark out some names!
I really do care about weight and don't want to pay just for thinner walls, but for improved designs and better materials.

Don't you ever get tired of stating the blatantly obvious? I really think you should spend more time doing something youre good at, rather than writing these ball-busting, revalation inspiring works of literature that uncover the deepest and darkest secrets of the industry. These 'tricks' the companies use, it's not deceit, its called MARKETING. If you buy it they will sell it. Please, make this the last sheepdog bites.

How about you just stop reading them. I am not busting your balls so quit your bitching. You have a right to read it or not.
Maybe this stuff is is obvious, I don't know. Judging by the responses I often get, it is not common sense, or obvious.
I always thought companies feared lawsuits, and tried to make a safe product, yet some of the stuff coming out is clearly not a good design, much less safe, strong, or a good idea.
Many of these companies cannot make a good product even when it does weigh a lot, now they want to make light parts?
I do not expect everyone to appreciate them, or even like them. My primary goal with them is to make people stand back and look at what the industry is really doing. If you do not find it thought provoking, then do not read them, simple as that.

I do not ban people for stating an opinion.

It's human nature to act before thinking...
People see a 7oz hub with 3/8 axle that is very weak, then they see a 10oz hub with 14mm axle, and most people, there natural reaction is to go with the 7oz, simply because they dont think before acting...
But if a company come out with a new revolutionary product that does not comprimis strength, then go for it...
What I took from the article...Think before you act...
