The Bike Shop / Need sprocket adapter(washer?), unsure what I need though
« on: October 16, 2015, 10:33:33 PM »
So, getting back into bmx, broke cranks, replaced Fly cranks with Profile GDH cranks so they're 19mm and I think the Fly's were 22.

I have a RNC 25 tooth sprocket, not realizing I needed a different sprocket washer/adapter I put it out and it was wobbly.  What do I need to buy to fix this, a 19mm sprocket adapter?  Should I just bring the sprocket to a local bike shop and ask?

You sure you dont have any type of warrenty on these? Seems like lifetime is standard...

I would say Odyssey thunderbolt. Probably the lightest and strongest cranks out there.

Fly emailed me back finally and said tough shit basically.  5+ year old cranks and no receipt.  Whatever, I get it, what i want them to know is the bike sat in storage for 5 years so these cranks had less than 200 hours worth of riding on before the pedal snapped off.  I never even did anything big on them, justhing but flatland type stuff grinding ledges and etc.

Whatever, lesson learned I will avoid Fly for now on.

I emailed Fly last night and they told me to go to the shop I bought them at with my receipt.  That receipt is long gone and the shop is shut down lol.

It's been a nice welcome back to BMX for me this week lol.  I went away to college in 08 and haven't ridden at all since until this past week.  This happens today riding home from the local skatepark: http://i.imgur.com/lOe2OsA.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/iHHuVdi.jpg

Also, riding in Asic running shoes is scary as hell.

Registered in 2006, this is my first topic.  This may be some sort of record.
