I am not saying the mansion tax is a good idea, or that the bedroom tax is wrong in principle. I'm wondering how you think 3 grand is a lot of money when poor/disabled people manage to pay 1/2 that out of their benefits.

Without the funds from a sale and often zero income how do expect people who have an extra room to be able to up sticks?

If Labour got in power and you couldn't pay the tax you'd be pissed off about being advised to move to a cheaper property but you are going to vote for a government who are forcing exactly that on poor and often disabled people.

Yes, I do live in a house worth over £2m, but no, we cant afford another 3 grand a year.

Poor and disabled people are paying 1/2 that 3 grand in bedroom tax to stay in their homes out of 70/week.

How would you feel about moving to another area like you'd be voting for them if you really couldn't pay?

Think about it like this... to complete with Odysseys marketing, every brand now has to slap on a lifetime warranty whether the company is doing it because they believe they will last that long or not . Now instead of shops getting a resale on forks a few years down the line, they will be handling warranty claims for little Timmy.

If you've ever worked at or supported a core or small shop, you know that every bit of income matters. BMX retail is based of consumable products, shit breaks or wears out.... buy a new one.

yeah odyssey's business model of investing all that cash designing, manufacturing, testing and shipping their forks just for crash replacements and not to sell them so they can deny lbs business is pure win.

This thread is just like an echo bouncing back from a very deep whole. Unless sub-forums somehow can't have inline images switched on it has to be because of the settings specific to the uk sellswap.

GOOD^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ BAD^^^^^^

E m b e d is probably blocked to stop people trying to run code executed through plugins.

It has been broke for a while. It is a server issue.

There are threads all over discussing it.

This is specific to the uk sell + swap, apologies if you knew that but it seems to be ok on other sections of the board.

Is there a setting for each individual subforum which toggles image code functionality that is affected by the server issues?

the left side is everywhere else (working) and the right is the uksellswop (not working).

I tried to bring this to sheepdog's attention about 6 months ago.

It's the "posting rules" (at the bottom of each post) for the uk sell and swap, the img tag is disabled.

I wish I could use my gmail account here, bg is the only place on the net that I use the other email address for and that address really has nothing to do with me anymore.

I don't care so much about the uploading attachments to bikeguide issue, although I am sure it is not a firewall issue with my system as it has worked intermittently (with no changes on my end).

What I would like to understand is why in the posting rules on my threads it says :

-------
vB code is On
Smilies are On

Until someone who knows what they are doing experiences it, I have no way of knowing what is wrong.

Is there anything that be done about this, I still can't upload pics and the [img] code seems to be off when I post photobucket links.

I fail at uploading from my computer and directly uploading from photobucket.

From the error message it seems to be something to do with the writing of a temp file.

"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."
