Oh man a crew cab 70s F2/350 is on my bucket list of dream rides for sure. Gonna be rocking my K2500 Suburban for quite a few years longer, at least long enough to buy property and then find and fix up something older. Put a lot of work into making it a reliable tow rig over the past few years considering it sat for a while before I got it. Seem to be getting close to caught up on maintenance and repairs finally.

Currently restoring the trailer I bought on the cheap a few years ago. Spent 8 days cutting and welding all of the rotted steel between the frame rails and walls, now I'm close to finishing rust proofing the frame so I can hopefully throw the new wood floor down this weekend. Then some repairs to the aluminum skin before I can get to work insulating it and reinstalling the inner walls. Then I can FINALLY start building a workbench, storage cabinets, and some camping gear into it. Finally can't see the tires from inside so that's quite a bit of progress.

Over a 1000 views and no reply.

Bikeguide is dead because of you. Sheep should stop saying server fees.

Pretty sure Kurt from BMX Union has been footing the bill for many years, bu tyour point is valid. Sheepdog has been gone for a long while, but I'd love to know what he's up to these days!

I was just joking but this used to be really great for reviews and advice on parts. I have came in and out over the years but I wish there were more resources out there
Since this place and BMX-Forum died I haven't had a lot of luck buying and selling used parts. FB Marketplace is full of morons who don't know what the top tube size means let alone how to measure it. I used to buy used bikes off of CL and sell/trade what I didn't need on here back in the day. FB groups are half full of scammers and super disogranized...

Our town just built a new park, might have to get back into it too.
I grew up with barely anywhere to ride, and now brand new concrete parks have been popping up EVERYWHERE around New England over the past 5 years. Managed to drag a few old friends back into riding.

I did it for a while with the Profile shouldered peg 3/8ths bolts and bent 3-4 bolts in probably about a year period while not riding my 20 a whole lot.

I'm super sketchy though and eat shit on handrails and clip uprights...
Is Profile still using 3/8-16? The coarse thread bolts are weaker than the fine 3/8-24 Odyssey uses...way deeper roots on the threads.

I've run pegs on an Odyssey Hazard v3 with a chromoly female axle for years without any issues. 15mm axle with 3/8" bolts. Guessing the Profile axle is a similar diameter, but their bolts might be a little weaker if they're still using coarse thread. But hey I'd rather damage the bolt than the axle itself. If you're smooth it should be fine, if you smash pegs off stuff as aggressively as I did when I was a teenager you're going to have problems. Just make sure you have hubguards - Profiles are the only hubs I ever see with broken flanges. I had one that was missing 2 spoke holes without ever seeing a grind.

Didn't ride a whole lot for a while because all of my friends moved or quit but we have a decent crew going again for the first time in a while. Was mostly doing car stuff but made sure I had bike racks or space for bikes in all of my cars.

Just got my coworker back into riding after 15 years. He saw my bike and went to his mom's to get his, and dug up this relic of an OG Sunday. I got him some taller Dugan bars off a buddy cause the tiny Macneil ones would've thrown his back out, and we ordered some fresh 2.25 Aitkens and a new 510 chain.

Here's my Cult Hawk with some fresh Vans tires

And my 08 Fly Campillo with 36/48k 7kas and female axle Hazard/Vandero 2 combo because freecoasters suck in the woods:

I wonder why that is?

Lot of people are pretty close-minded it seems.

Actually made it to a few drift events this year with the turbo Pinto. Had this car 11 and a half years now:

The AE86 was supposed to be my drift car but it decided to spin rod bearings on two 4AGEs last summer. Sitting in my garage with 2 grand worth of brand new upgraded suspension and no motor...

Oh well, at least it's basically rust free after I fixed the windshield frame and trunk seal area.

The Bike Shop / Re: Odyssey clutch v2 opinions
« on: December 19, 2022, 06:26:42 PM »
So if anyone cares for an update ,My first clutch hub the problems I had were because they didnt put the c clip in the hub from the factory and there was something wonky happening because of that .I got both the Madera and the bsd and didnt like either one .So back on my clutch v2 and have 2 wheels I spent wayyyyy too much money on that I need to get rid of .
That C-clip was an important part to keep the hub together without putting side load on the driver bearing, which wouldn't work now that it's a needle bearing - and was the main cause of old style coasters blowing up.

According to FB memories I laced my Clutch v2 up 4 years ago last week. Got a very tiny bit of side to side play, and that's it. Still working perfectly, all I've done was open it up to regrease it over 2 years ago cause it started sticking a tiny bit when I would stop pedaling.  Absolutely insane that I've had the same coaster hold up for a single year, let alone 4. I used to break the old ones at least once every couple months if I didn't periodically rebuild them...

Rye Airfield shut down a couple years ago so I stopped having an opportunity to ride often in these shitty New England winters, and put on like 20 pounds. Started going to the gym a couple weeks ago for the first time then rode a bit on Saturday, and it kicked my ass way more than ever. Trying to get back in shape for the spring, my hops have gone from bar height to tire height. Bike is in the best condition ever and I'm at my worst lmao

Installed one of those new Relic tires. It's hybrid of a Fly Ruben and Primo V-Monster.
I just threw one of these in the back because it was the only tanwall tire I could find to go with my S&M Mainline. I like it but the tread is too shallow, I go through tires fast. I'm hoping I can get my hands on more tanwall 2.10 Mainlines before I need tires again. I ran through my stash of 2.15 tan Rubens and they wore super quick. Wish they'd bring back the tanwall Aitkens or FAFs.

I wouldn't use Loctite since that won't work with the grease which you need...maybe crush a couple threads in the middle of the bolt so it stays in place? Not the best idea but it's kept bolts from coming loose in my cars before.

but more realistically, i'll probably end up in canada/new york/ ausatralia/ aus/ new zealand in a few years.
IDK man Australia sounds like a wicked police state from everyone I've talked to there. Between the gun bans and the shit they do to anyone who dares modify their own car it doesn't exactly sound like a free country, before you even look into anything else going on. And it's a bummer most countries who seem to have their shit together have such cold climates, I'm really not a fan of winter weather.
