Bike Gallery / Re: FIT SERIES 1- 2001 model
« on: March 28, 2016, 03:32:44 PM »
i absolutely love the story. i got a series one when i was 17 and i still have it and im 29.  I run a 36 fbm sprocket and its seen better days.  I dont want to run anything other than that sprocket but i had to take it off because it doesnt ride properly anymore(bent, teeth wear). Is there any way you would sell or trade that sprocket for something? you can hit me up on instagram if you like. @nativebikes

Is there a chance that we will ever see an updated version of the old race hub? I've been looking for an affordable set of hubs that don't weight as much as a boat anchor and take 12t or 13t cogs for ages. Profile is pretty much the only option and they are insanely expensive over here.

I'm not holding my breath that we will ever see a nice railed seat from Odyssey but it sure would be nice.

Unlikely sorry.

To save you time asking, we will also not be making:-

Threaded 1" forks.
Rod brakes
Tape decks
Acetylene lamps
Tweed riding hats
or Solid tyres

:)
G.

are you saying that railed seats and large cogs are obsolete? or are you just saying odyssey/gsport above such a thing.

G, would you be able to do that honeycomb interior with a cast part?

In the video of the dropouts he specifically claims that they couldnt have made those dropouts any other way and yet that is rubbish. You could investment cast them for a relatively low tool cost.

i clicked on this topic specifically to see the rant that i knew you would put in here.  You dont know that for a fact, that is speculation.  Just because you have some sort of cut rate 3-d printer at home doesnt make you any kind of expert in the field, nor does reading about it in forums or internet articles.  Any time i see a topic about something new that you are doing it is you talking about how it is the best thing around and every time i see a topic about a new process that you didnt adopt it is bashed on or questioned.  get over yourself.

So you are freely admitting that your only reason for posting in this thread is to troll?... and you call MY post a rant?

:)
G.

is that not exactly what i called you out for doing.  G views thread topics... "what can i try to correct people on"

Yes it is
thanks

I recovered my eccd seat last night with some vinyl and a staple gun. Harder than I thought it would be because of the thick material and some of the hard to get spots under the rails and at the nose.

Railed seats are the worst to re cover
