that depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Please, give me one logical advantage to running a stretched tire.

i'm just saying that what some people want to accomplish is the ability to drop their cars, and with stretching the tires they are given more room to do so without rubbing.

i didn't say there were logical advantages to running stretched tires, i'm just saying, depending on what people want to accomplish...it may be an option they choose to pursue.

you seem awfully bitter, Fear.

Rolled inner fender lips, proper wheel offsets, proper tire size -- all ways to avoid rubbing with a drop.

Of course, it seems that after 5 threads (or so) of trying to argue this, people are still gonna do it. I just think it's unwise to spend money on something that's clearly a disadvantage in about every category.

Maybe I just don't have enough money to piss away on tires, and maybe I enjoy cars that handle and ride like they should.

I still think it's ridiculous, and have yet to hear one competent argument confirming there is some kind of advantage to running skinny tires on wide rims.

Alot of dubs do it so they can put larger and wider rims on their car and still slam it low. Basically its so you dont rub. Alot of people just do it to do it though also.
