When I tightened the bolts on my eject hub, it made the sound of loose spokes. I was able to tighten it them though. Axle fucked up?

Nothing wrong? I pulled out the bolts to see if the thread got fucked, but they looked as new.

Maybe grease the threads a bit but I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Most wheels I've had have done it since new. 3 clicks and you're in.

So my hombe brake is like rubbing and not springing back. When I tighten it down it just stays where it is and if I try to move it it just stays where I moved it. I have chain stay mounts and it looks the arm is rubbing on the frame? The left arm works fine.

Shortened the chain quite a bit (smaller sprocket etc), but am now riding with the axle sticking out of the dropout 2-3mm. I was maybe 1mm away from riding it slammed.

Question: Riding it for a week or so, is there possibility of the chain stretching enough to remove the whole link (ie 1mm), or should I just get a half link and find myself somewhere in the middle? It's a Shimano chain, and it's been ridden a few years.

25t/9t on 1st Fit Hawk (13.75 slammed I think).

I generally replace chains every 6 months. I've been bad about it lately, hoping I don't start snapping links.

Odyssey Bluebird
Cult 510
Eclat Diesel

Im sure theres probably more out there too, they come with a pre-installed half link. Ive had the Bluebird & the Cult, both excellent chains. Getting an Eclat for the new build too.

I've got the Eclat chain at the moment. It's definitely a chain. I'd probably get the Cult one if you can though, it's about £8 cheaper than the Eclat and £12 cheaper than the Odyssey. Still a chain too I imagine.

Damn, well I think I'm still going to be getting the Rubens sometime soon. My Cults have been through hell and I think it's time to retire them.
