Fair enough. If the UK were allowed to have guns then I would have some.

I have to admit I would rather have a gun if someone broke in than a knife or bat.

you can, anyone can apply for a rifle or shotgun license. several of my friends have shotguns, one's even a gunsmith.

Also, you've gotta be mad to think that when you are woken up by glass breaking, then come across someone in the dark that your aim will be good enough with a pistol to place it right where it won't kill him.  You grab a shotgun, shoot the fucker end of story.  The birdshot allows you to have some leeway and also not go through walls easily.

Probably none of us, what is your point?

Everyone is talking about blowing apart a burglars face when they invade your house, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had to.

Its a precautionary measure, I like to shoot mine for fun and hunt as well.  I hope I never have to use it for self defense.

Don't forget guns are also great for...

A. keeping people off your land!

B. killing your wife when she cheats on your sorry white trash ass with Jim Bob

C. killing your your boy because you suspect that he's a queer!

D. killing your neighbor's cat

and most importantly...

D. Suicide

I dont get the obsession with cheap russian rifles but to each their own.

My mom just found some of my grandfather's guns she thought were gone so I got this little thing.  It has two cylinders, one for .22 magnum and one for .22 long or short.  Suprisingly accurate for such a small piece.  Might be hard to tell but its about palm size.

Went shooting for a couple hours this weekend.

First target is with a friend's brand new AR-15.  Second target is with my XDM40.

Both from a standing position at about 25 yards.
